I know that Silktide Studios seems a great place to work.

They may have Flexitime is standard: choose when you want to start, how long you’d like your lunch break and when you finish. All staff get free gym membership (Virgin Active), as much fresh fruit as they can eat, soft drinks and an allowance to buy books of their choice. Programmers get large or dual displays and 10% of their week to work on blue sky projects.

But what they don’t mention is desks…why you may ask well just look at the terrible conditions in which they keep their developers!

Server Outage

In relation to this mornings outage out data provider has released the following statement.

We have experienced an issue with Internet Transit for some customers from approx 11:45 this morning. Engineers have resolved the issue and we are currently investigating further. more information will be posted when we have it.

12.05 Update. This issue affected customers in DC-1 (or those customers in DC-2 who use DC-1 address space). Any customers still experiancing issues requested to clear thier arp cache on their equipment. If you are still experiancing a problem follow this then please contact Node4 support.

Let’s hope that the next year see even more dogs rehomed!

Following the huge success of last years online event, Silktide Studios are pleased to announce that the National Naked Developer Day will be holding an event at an exclusive Derby venue.

The event is set to be Europe’s best attended and biggest event for digital marketing and online business developers and is set to attract thousands of visitors and more than 50 exhibitors.

The venue will host a wealth of events from keynote speakers, industry seminars and trade stands.

Chatsworth site is a huge success

The new Chatsworth website has now gone live, and it’s one of our favourites!

The site not only looks great, but contains a wealth of information about the Chatsworth estate. The Dukes and our favourite section has to be the interactive sculpture map which allows visitors to find out more information about the Duke of Devonshires unique sculpture collection.

The team at Chatsworth are also delighted with the new site and James Dyson responsible for the website and marketing of Chatsworth commented…
